San Pietro Island is linked with the Castello sestiere through two bridges, "Ponte San Pietro" and "Ponte Quintavalle", both are wooden made, about 50 meters long, crossing the San Pietro and the Quintavalle Canals. San Pietro church, on the island, used to be Venice cathedral until 1807. It is only 7 minutes from the Lido and 15 from Piazza S. Marco.
